I’m looking for a skilled WordPress developer experienced with PHP compatibility issues and GoDaddy Managed WordPress hosting.
My website is currently running on PHP 7.4, and every time GoDaddy has tried to upgrade it to a newer version (7.5, 8.0, 8.1, etc.), the site has broken — showing errors and layout issues. The most noticeable problems are on the homepage banner, where the buttons don’t display correctly and the image appears grainy or low-quality.
The site uses the Kleo theme, which is no longer being updated, but I’d like to keep it functional for now until I transition to a new design.
I need a developer who can:
– Identify and fix the PHP compatibility issues within the theme or plugins so the site can run smoothly on a newer PHP version (preferably 8.1 or 8.2).
– Patch or replace any deprecated functions causing visual or functional errors.
– Test the site thoroughly after upgrading PHP.
– Provide a brief summary of what was fixed or updated.
Hosting: GoDaddy Managed WordPress
Theme: Kleo
Page Builder: WPBakery
Please only apply if you have experience resolving PHP version conflicts and updating older WordPress themes to work with newer PHP versions.
